Juniors Program
The Berwyn Rod & Gun Club Inc. and Junior Division Marksmanship Training Program has been enrolled with Civilian Marksmanship Program since September 1, 1945.
- Training is supervised by NRA certified instructors (Mandatory) and is conducted every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, weather permitting.
- Please check calendar for latest dates and time.
- Class training sessions are conducted in the clubhouse and the live firing portion is at the firing range.
- This program is free to all youth who are old enough to pay attention, up to 20 years old. (Until December 31st of the year they turn 20.)
- The Club, for juniors who participate in the shooting training, furnishes rifles and ammunition.
- This program is designed to teach juniors safe handling of firearms and the skills required participating in marksmanship matches and hopefully continuing to the next level of training and on to the Olympics.
- This is an excellent program for Scouts, and other type organizations to earn their merit badges in shooting. Juniors are eligible for Club membership after they turn 21 and can continue their marksmanship training as adults.
- Members who have juniors of their own or who know other juniors are encouraged to enter them in the program. This program helps the junior shooters, the community, the club and the membership as a whole as well as the shooting sport in general.
