SPORTING SHOTGUN
The Prince Georges Trap and Skeet center reopened for shooting on July 1st but with significant changes to their operations. Please call the range office at 301-577-7178 for the latest information. The information below is correct as of 11/17/20.
Social distancing and masks are required in the clubhouse and anywhere that social distancing is not being maintained.
You are required to go to the clubhouse for a
temperature check before going to the ranges. Use the walkway on the range side
of the building to enter the office and the door on the other side of the
building to exit after the temperature check.
A range attendant must push the button to turn on the range microphones for
trap and must be a puller for skeet. Only range staff are permitted to touch
any range equipment. You must visit the range office to get a range person assigned
for skeet.
Only credit and debit cards will be accepted for payment in the range
office. Ammunition will be available for sale but other items might not.
There will not be any gun rentals, golf cart rentals or shooting lessons.
New shooters will not be permitted on the range - only experienced shooters.
The ranges will close at 5 PM every day. There will not be late hours on
Tuesday - Thursday.
Sporting Clays will be available but will be much different than it has been. If
you want to shoot sporting clays, you need to call or stop by the office first
to find out about all of the changes. You
must call in advance for a reservation. The range phone number is
301-577-7178.
There are no food, water, coffee, tables or chairs available at the range. If you want such things, you need to bring your own.
There is a one way path into and out of the range office. To enter the range office to buy something, use the walkway on the range side of the building and turn into the range office at the office door on the left side of the markers. The counter is open for purchases. To enter the office to use the rest rooms, walk along the front side of the office building, around the far side of the building and enter the range office through the office door but on the right side of the markers. The restrooms are open but the rest of the building is closed. Only one person at a time is permitted in the restrooms. To leave the range office, follow the marked path out of the office door on the front side of the office, then turn left and go back across the front to get back to the ranges

Tuesday Morning Shoots
We shoot trap singles every Tuesday morning all year, weather permitting, at the Prince Georges Trap and Skeet Center (PGT&SC), 301-577-7178, 10400 Good Luck Road, Glenn Dale, MD 20769. We usually start shooting between 10:45 and 11 AM.The center is located between MD Route 193 on the West and Springfield Road on the East. We are usually on Range 9.
All Berwyn Rod and Gun Club Inc. (BRGC) and Greenbelt Club members are welcome. BRGC associate members are also welcome to come to the Tuesday morning shoots as Club members. Members may bring guests in accordance with the regular BRGC Range Rules.
Additional Information
New Trap Shooter Orientation: We have enough shooters coming out that we cannot do new shooter orientations or deal with shotgun function problems during the scheduled shoots. Please contact the Sporting Shotgun Chair below to schedule an orientation session first if you are new to shotgun or trap shooting.
Inclement Weather Policy: The Sporting Shotgun Chair will cancel a Tuesday morning shoot if the Prince Georges county schools are closed because of hazardous driving conditions or if the wind chill is dangerously low. He will try to hold the shoot if the schools are opening late. If in doubt, call the Sporting Shotgun Chair between 9 and 9:45 a.m. at 301-464-8580.
Club Shotguns and Trap/Skeet Tickets: The Club has two 12-gauge shotguns and one 20-gauge shotgun for use by members at Club shotgun events. The Club also has discount priced books of range tickets for trap and skeet. Please contact Sporting Shotgun Chair if interested in these items.
Dud Shotgun Shell Disposal: Please do not leave dud shotgun shells on either the BRGC or PGT&S ranges. Contact the Sporting Shotgun Chair for instructions on how to dispose of duds safely or to arrange for chair to dispose of them for you.
