Defensive Shotgun Skills & Drills

Greetings!

This will be a live shooting event (slugs only) at the 50' range.  Please bring a safe and functioning defensive shotgun that you are familiar with the operation and handling of.  Bring at least ten (10) shotgun shells appropriate to your shotgun; but a box of twenty-five (25) is ideal.

After the safety briefing and general range orientation; you will receive instructions on a specific skill or drill.  This skill and/or drill will be demonstrated to you, then you will be invited to demonstrate the skill/drill live fire.  All drills will be conducted on person at a time in a safe and controlled manner.  

You will have ample opportunity to fire your shotgun through several different loading and situations.  This is not a tactical or moving course of fire; all shooting will be conducted from a static, single position under the direct observation and control of a RSO.  This is a great chance to test yourself under the mild artificial stress of performing while being watched by your fellow BRGC shooters.
