**CANCELLED** Defensive Shotgun Skills and Drills

This will be a live fire event on the BRGC 50 foot range.   Feel free to bring an unloaded and functioning defensive shotgun that you are familiar with the operation of.   Please keep your shotgun encased in your vehicle until directed to bring it to the 50' range.   There will be club/other defensive shotguns available so it is not necessary to bring a shotgun, but highly recommended.  You will need to bring your own new in box, factory loaded shells.   Appropriate caliber/type shells that are slugs or buckshot will be permitted.

The course of fire will be strictly at the direction of the host/RSO and will typically consist of shooting approximately 25 shells total.   You will be asked to demonstrate the proper and safe operation of your shotgun before beginning.  Each course of fire will consist of the individual being given a specific skill and/or drill to perform.   This will typically entail loading and/or shooting between one and three shells at a time.  

The purpose of this event is to give the participants an opportunity to learn/rehearse skills/drills in a controlled and safe environment.  Performing while being observed is somewhat competitive and stress inducing; you will be somewhat challenged.   This event will be paced to the individual, only one participant will fire at a time under the direct observation and control of the host/RSO, Bobby Allen.

No guests are permitted to attend this event.  Please be punctual, we will start the briefing and introductions at 4:30pm.   Immediately following this event there will be a Defensive Discussion at the DAV clubhouse immediately before the normal monthly general BRGC meeting.  You are welcome/encouraged to attend all three activities.  If you have questions please email defensiveshotgun@berwyn.org
