Deer Shoot

This event is not open to the public. Main gate will be locked during the event.
Sponsored guests are welcome, but must be escorted to range.
This is a real fun event where hunting rifles are used to fire at various paper deer targets, with points awarded for hits in "vital areas" of the deer. Any centerfire rifle that is legal to fire on the BRGC range may be used although deer-appropriate calibers are applauded as appropriate to the spirit of the match.
Anything that you use in the field on a hunt is legal such as bi-pods, mono pods, tripods or shooting sticks. Keeping in the spirit of the Hunt - no sandbags, other gun rests, sleds etc.
Firing scenarios may include prone, kneeling, sitting, standing and bench.
You will be firing in three positions with three different targets - 5 rounds each 15 total
There will be two classifications - scopes at 100 yards and open sights at 50 yards. If time allows we will go to a second round.
All participating members will be eligible for a grand prize at the end of the of our season, the more times you participate the more chances you get to Win (there are rumors it may be a rifle). Always bring two to three boxes of shells to rifle events.
As always rules may change depending on field conditions and group shooter decisions.
