On sunday 16 June 2019 from 1200-1500 there will be a Holster Draw Competition open to all BRGC regular club members that have Holster Draw Certification (yellow rectangle on range badge). Various courses of presentation and fire will be conducted and timed and scored on official IDPA targets in 3 stage sets. The various stages in this event may include presenting from a holster and firing single rounds, double-taps, multiple shots, two handed, strong hand only, and weak hand only. Those who wish to compete will need their handgun of choice in any caliber or configuration, a reasonable quantity of ammunition, a strong side holster specific to their firearm, hearing protection and eye protection. Scoring of the targets will be standard IDPA with times balanced against hits/misses on static targets at defensive distance. Depending on the number of participants, competitors may be able to shoot all 3 stages twice. Come out and have fun.
