Sporting Shotgun

  • Tuesday Morning Shoots: We shoot trap singles every Tuesday morning all year at 11 am, weather permitting, at the Prince Georges Trap and Skeet Center (PGT&SC), 301-577-7177, 10400 Good Luck Road, Glenn Dale, MD 20769. Located between MD Route 193 on the West and Springfield Road on the East. We are usually on Range 9.
  • Evening Shoot Schedule: We are holding the evening trap shoots again this year. The shoots will be at the Prince Georges Trap & Skeet Center as are the Tuesday morning shoots. We try to shoot on Range 9, but may be anywhere from Range 7 to Range 10 depending on the needs of the facility. Look for the BRGC banner. The shoots run until the range closes at 8:30 pm or until everyone present has finished shooting, whichever comes first. The schedule is:
  • April — Thursday 4/6 and Wednesday 4/19
  • May — Thursday 5/4 and Wednesday 5/17

  • October Thursday 6/8 and Wednesday 6/21

All Berwyn Rod and Gun Club Inc. (BRGC) and Greenbelt Club members are welcome. BRGC associate members are welcome to come to both the Tuesday morning and evening shoots as Club members.

Additional Information

  • New Trap Shooter Orientation—We have enough shooters coming out that we cannot do new shooter orientations or deal with shotgun function problems during the scheduled shoots. Please contact Shotgun Chair below to schedule an orientation session first if you are new to shotgun or trap shooting.
  • Inclement Weather Policy— The Shotgun Chair will cancel a Tuesday morning shoot if the Prince Georges county schools are closed because of hazardous driving conditions or if the wind chill is dangerously low. He will try to hold the shoot if the schools are opening late. If in doubt, call the Shotgun Chair between 9 and 9:45 a.m.
  • Club Shotguns and Trap/Skeet Tickets—The Club has two 12-gauge shotguns and one 20-gauge shotgun for use by members at Club shotgun events. The Club also has discount priced books of range tickets for trap and skeet. Please contact Shotgun Chair if interested in these items.
  • Dud Shotgun Shell Disposal—Please do not leave dud shotgun shells on either the BRGC or PGT&S ranges. Contact Shotgun Chair for instructions on how to dispose of duds safely or to arrange for chair to dispose of them for you.
Interested BRGC members should contact—sportingshotgun@berwyn.org.
