The BRGC Junior's program.

What: Berwyn Rod and Gun Club Juniors Program
When: Every Saturday 10am-12pm
Where: BRGC 100 yard range
Who: Youths under the age of 21
Why: To teach safe handling of firearms and marksmanship skills

About the Program
Our program is available to all youth who are old enough to pay attention, up to 21 years old. (Until December 31st of the year they turn 21.)

This program is designed to teach juniors safe handling of firearms and the skills required to participate in marksmanship matches.

This program is:
* Free
* No membership required
* Open to the public
* Taught by NRA qualified firearms instructors and coaches

The club furnishes all rifles, ammunition, and safety equipment to the participants.

Every third Saturday of the month, we will engage in Archery in lieu of firearms. Please see juniors archery calendar item for additional information.

Tuesday Morning Trap Shoot (05 May 2026)

Trap shooting every Tuesday morning on Range 9 at the Prince Georges Trap and Skeet Center, 10400 Good Luck road, Glenn Dale, MD. Shooters show up starting at about 10:30 am and the first squad goes off when enough shooters have arrived or at 11 am. Shooting continues until everyone present has finished shooting.

Shotguns must have a barrel length of at least 23 inches. Ammunition is limited to lead shot of size 7 1/2 or smaller with a maximum velocity of 1200 feet per second. The range office sells ammunition and range tickets that pay for the use of the range. The club shotgun chairperson may also have discounted range tickets available for purchase at the shoots.

During this LIVE 3.0 -Hour session (Clubhouse) you will learn how to identify life threatening bleeding and how to control bleeding until help arrives. Skills include:

Techniques for applying direct pressure,
Drills on wound packing, and
Familiarization with various types of CoTCCC Approved tourniquets and their approproate use.

Your Instructor for this Session is:
Ms. Briana V. Tillman, CEO kDelta Training

kDelta is founded on the principle that survival training must be continuously refreshed to keep up with constantly changing threats. Our name, borrowed from the argot of science (k “constant,” Delta “change”), serves as a reminder that growth and change are good and to always strive to be better.

Briana is one of the founding members of kDelta with a background in Emergency Management and Criminal Justice. She joined the Anne Arundel County Community Emergency Response Team in 2008, was once the youngest member of the Maryland Human Trafficking Task Force, and created and led sexual assault avoidance and defense courses for multiple security companies.

Briana holds USCCA Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals Firearms Instructor, Blue Shield Tactical De-escalation Instructor, and Until Help Arrives Instructor certifications, as well as TECC, Range Safety, and Bloodborne Pathogen certifications.

Briana has been involved in live scenario training including mass casualty events both in and behind the scenes since 2009, with a training and fitness background in Krav Maga and Crossfit for the past 10 years.

2026 Tea and Targets (17 May 2026)

Tea and Targets is the premiere ladies only shooting and social event in the state of Maryland. The ladies begin with a targeting competition using .22 caliber rifles and pistols; or any rimfire handgun of their choosing. Afterwards, the gentlemen of the club serve the ladies an English high tea, complete with classical 18th century music in the background. Ladies are requested to dress appropriately for an outdoor shooting event.

This event is open to the public. We are asking the ladies who wish to attend to register their desire to attend.

Project Appleseed is a nationwide program that teaches rifle marksmanship skills that have been passed down from generation to generation and reconnects Americans with the people and events of colonial America.

About the Program
Our program is available to all youth who are old enough to pay attention, up to 21 years old. (Until December 31st of the year they turn 21.)

This program is designed to teach juniors the safe handling of archery equipment and the skills required to use them successfully.

This program is:
* Free
* No membership required
* Open to the public
* Taught by NRA and US Archery qualified instructors and coaches

The club furnishes all bows, arrows, bolts, and safety equipment to the participants.

Come out and join us for a fun, safe, time.

MD DNR Shooter Qualification - Shotgun, Muzzleloader and Rifle Qualifications (23 Aug 2026)

Maryland DNR Shooter Qualification and Firearms Sight-In Event.

Shotgun, Muzzleloader and straight wall cartridge rifle.

BRGC will provide an Official Maryland DNR Qualification Card which is required to hunt on certain state and federal property, as well as specified managed hunts throughout the season.

BRGC is charging $10 per person to non BRGC members for the DNR Qualification. This service is Free for BRGC members.

BRGC will will charge an additional $5 per firearm to assist with sighting in any firearms that may need it prior to qualification.
