CMP M1 Carbine Shoot

Berwyn Rod & Gun Club in Bowie, MD, will be holding a CMP-sanctioned M1 Carbine event on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 10:30 AM with registration starting at 10 AM (the gate will be open at that time). We are expecting to run at least two consecutive relays. 

This event will be open to the public. There is a $10 range fee for non-members and a $5 fee for members.

At 9 AM, we will have a short refresher course on the use of the M1 Carbine Rifle conducted by a CMP Master Instructor. 

CMP Vintage Military Events use the guidelines established by the Civilian Marksmanship Program. Rules regarding these events are located here: CMPGamesRules.pdf

The course of fire uses the SR-1 target at 100 yards. Up to 10 sighter shots may be taken, followed by 10 rounds fired both slow and rapid fire from the prone position, 10 rounds rapid fire from the sitting/kneeling position. Finally with 10 rounds fired slow fire from the standing or offhand position.

Please let me know if you would prefer to shoot in the later relay, approximate start time 11:30 AM.

To compete under CMP guidelines, competitors should have a CMP competitors ID. All competitors must have a notarized "Eligibility Affidavit and Liability Agreement" on file at BRGC. A Notary will be available during match registration at no cost to the participants.

BRGC members and affiliates do not have to be eligible to compete to shoot in this event.
